While on the walk with the East Cascades Audubon Society on Friday, we saw three different swallows. They are so fast that it is hard to tell the difference unless you have binoculars. The most common one was the tree swallow, although we also saw barn swallows and violet green swallows.

  1. What lovely captures… ours here are also not very co operated for photos…. but I have also managed to capture some and always feel very lucky when I do

    1. My goal is to get a decent shot of one in flight which is extremely difficult because they are so fast. I was fortunate that these birds paused long enough for me to photograph them.

  2. That’s another bird I miss here . . .

And, yes . . . getting them in flight takes some practice (or a lot of luck).

I'd love to hear from you
