Enchanted Forest

While I was visiting in Minnesota last month, my sisters and I took a hike up Eagle Mountain. I hadn’t hiked that mountain since I was in high school and it was much more difficult at my age now than it was so many years ago. There is one section I labeled the enchanted forest. There was a thick canopy of trees and the floor of the forest was covered with tree roots. It was so pretty walking through it – the photos don’t do it justice.

  1. Awesome textures. Looks like a nice place to get lost in.

    1. Thanks. It is a great place to spend the day.

  2. It must be enchanted indeed if your photos don’t do it justice. I would have to walk with my head well down with all those roots about.

    1. Trust me, I was looking down at the ground the whole way just to keep my footing.

  3. Looks like some Ents might be hanging out there. So very difficult to catch the true magic of a forest, but you certainly came close.

    1. Thanks, Gunta. We were actually hoping to see a moose but no such luck.

  4. I want to visit the enchanted forest–maybe even live there!

    1. It would be a great place to live if there was better access. My body wouldn’t be able to take the hike in and out of there on a regular basis.

      1. Me neither, I bet. I would need to be carried. 🙂

  5. I agree with Gupta. I always find it hard to take in the beauty of the forest with my camera. Lovely images!

    1. There is something magical about the forest.

I'd love to hear from you
